- Taichung Fire Department 3rd Brigade Teams Up with HaoJuen Technology to Advance Drone-Assisted Disaster Relief

[Taichung News]
As urban environments become increasingly complex—presenting unique challenges in high-rise fires, narrow alleys, mountain blazes, and water rescues—the Third Rescue and EMS Battalion of the Taichung City Fire Bureau held a "Drone Application Seminar" on June 25. To empower rescue operations with technology and elevate safety standards, Yi-Hung Wang, CEO of Hao Juen Technology Co., Ltd., was invited to engage in in-depth discussions on integrating heavy-duty drones into frontline disaster relief.
During the seminar, both parties explored the multi-functional integration of advanced drones at disaster scenes. Key applications discussed include a smart precision fire-extinguishing payload system that overcomes traditional vertical drop limitations to effectively suppress early-stage fires, as well as high-efficiency aerial reconnaissance deployed ahead of ground crews to secure critical response times. Furthermore, the drones feature high-intensity night illumination to cut through dark conditions and thick smoke, ensuring clear visibility for frontline crews, alongside the capability to swiftly deliver lifesaving equipment and emergency provisions to individuals stranded in challenging terrain. On the analytical front, the technology utilizes RGB and thermal imaging sensors combined with AI modeling to identify fire sources and victims. By leveraging edge inference, it tracks hotspots and victims in real time, while capturing high-altitude dynamic mapping footage that streams live to the command center, significantly accelerating tactical decision-making and resource deployment efficiency.
The Third Battalion emphasized that this seminar highlighted the solid capabilities of Taiwanese startups in precision manufacturing and AI technology. This exchange brings revolutionary inspiration to tactical deployments, advancing the vision of "drone reconnaissance first, firefighter safety always" while collaboratively building a safer and more resilient smart city.
