- 2024 Hao Juen Technology Establishes Operations in Central Taiwan Science Park to Advance High-Value Product Development
Hao Juen Technology, a company specializing in the research and development of bicycle components and PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond) cutting tools, was officially approved to establish operations in the Central Taiwan Science Park (Taichung Park) on January 10, 2024. With a planned investment of NT$60 million, the company is embarking on a new stage of growth and innovation.
Focusing on the development of high-value-added products, Hao Juen Technology will leverage its advanced R&D capabilities to strengthen the competitiveness of the machine tool industry while continuing to showcase Taiwan's technological excellence on the global stage.
Hao Juen Technology was established under Taiwan's Value Creation Program for Academia-Industry Collaboration sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). Supported by more than four patented technologies and solid academic research, the company specializes in developing customized non-circular bicycle chainrings and PCD diamond cutting tools.
Among its flagship products, the innovative non-circular chainring series has been featured at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the United States for two consecutive years, representing Taiwan's innovation in cycling technology and demonstrating the country's growing strength in startup-driven product development.
According to the Central Taiwan Science Park Administration, Hao Juen Technology's presence in the science park will support the needs of the aerospace, machine tool, and defense industries by developing high-value domestically manufactured cutting tools with broader machining applications.
These efforts will help reduce Taiwan's reliance on imported cutting tool brands while promoting the localization of critical technologies and equipment for strategic industries such as semiconductors and national defense, creating new momentum for Taiwan's high-tech manufacturing sector.
As of May 2024, the Central Taiwan Science Park had attracted four new investment projects, with a combined investment value of NT$472 million.
Hao Juen Technology's establishment in the Taichung Park adds new vitality to the park's industrial ecosystem. Moving forward, companies within the science park will benefit from resource sharing and technological collaboration, enabling them to expand into international markets and further strengthen Taiwan's position within the global technology industry.
